The most famous museum in Seville is the Museum of Fine Arts of Seville. It was founded in 1835. It houses works by Murillo, Pacheco, Zurbaran, Valdez Leal and many other famous artists, including paintings from the 15th and 16th centuries.
Other museums in Seville:
Archaeological museum containing works of art from Tartessos and the Roman period. The museum is located in Maria Luisa Park in Plaza América.
The Museum of Art and Tradition, also located in Plaza America, opposite the Archaeological Museum.
The Andalusian Center for Contemporary Art is located in La Cartuja.
