Khustup is a mountain peak in the south of Armenia, in the eastern part of the Syunik region, 10 km southwest of the city of Kapan, in the Khustup-Katari mountains.
Khustup is considered a sacred mountain and has been a place of prayer and pilgrimage since ancient times. It is not for nothing that people gave it the name of a hermit. Now it attracts mountain lovers with its majestic appearance; According to one of the etymologies of the name of the mountain, it comes from the root khuri, which means prayer. On the slope of Khustup, near the Kozni spring, the remains of the Armenian general Garegin Nzhdeh are buried.
