China Southern Airlines has launched regular direct flights between Yerevan and Urumqi, a city of four million in China's Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region. Flights will operate on Tuesdays and Saturdays. One-way flights take 5 hours.
There is a visa-free regime between citizens of Armenia and China. Armenian passengers can now easily reach 41 cities in China via Urumqi, such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, etc.
