Is it possible to travel around Abu Dhabi?

A strange question at first glance, but anyone who has been to the cities of the Middle East will understand what I’m talking about, because since the Arabs switched from camels to Ferraris, the cities of the UAE were built exclusively for motorists. In fact, the Arabs are still not exactly “our people” and go to the bakery by taxi (more precisely, in their jeep). Therefore, many tourists know that not everywhere in the cities of the UAE is passable; there are almost no sidewalks.
And a walk around the city in summer turns into torture due to the temperature; cities can be compared to a hot frying pan.
But, in any case, Abu Dhabi is a pleasant exception: there are many areas where there are not only sidewalks, but also umbrellas at intersections for protection from the sun. Not to mention the palms and other trees that grow everywhere here, finding shade is not a problem. It’s not for nothing that Abu Dhabi is called the “garden city”.
But remember the distances. The “walk” option is only suitable if you want to take a walk around your area (where your hotel is located). Abu Dhabi is located on islands and the bridges connecting these islands are very long. So a walk from one island to another can take more than an hour, or even two hours one way.
The most famous street in Abu Dhabi is the Corniche. When it gets dark, the Arabs themselves leave the interiors of their air-conditioned cars and head to the embankment to “stretch their bones and look at the bay.”
