Maltese Traditions and Cuisine

It is interesting to hear about the traditions and cuisine of each country. Malta is also on this list.
From May to September, there is hardly a weekend without some interesting festival, event or party. Every September, there is a competition on dinghies or sailing ships in honor of the victory won on September 8, 1565.
Cooking hot dishes in Malta is like a real ritual. The reason for this was the lack of firewood, which is why people had to cook in one oven designed for the whole city. The cook prepared the dish, and the next morning people came with their plates for the dish. Thanks to the smell, people learned everything about the dishes of their neighbors. Now spaghetti is one of the most famous local dishes. It is also interesting that in Malta there is no “yesterday's bread”, it can be found the next day in a special box.
