Is Sharjah a big emirate?

Sharjah has an area of about 2,600 square meters, or about the same size as Luxembourg or Moscow. The southern and northern border of the emirate along the coast is only about 15 km.
There is one big city in Sharjah, it is called Sharjah. And there are several more villages and oases on the territory of the emirate. Almost the entire population of the emirate (1.8 million people) lives in the capital.
