The formation of Kefanolonia as a tourist center would have been impossible if a number of factors had not developed: unusual nature, a variety of opportunities for active recreation and entertainment, excellent weather conditions. The mild Mediterranean climate, typical of all regions of Greece, is characterized by dry, hot summers and high rainfall in winter.
The highest temperatures occur in July-August. This period is a favorite time for tourists. The gentle, warm sea opens its arms to thousands of travelers; the water warms up to 25 degrees, making it suitable for swimming children.
Winter is the time for medical travel. Kefalonia is rarely covered with snow. A light sea breeze, air filled with the aroma of pine needles, the gentle sun - all these qualities together make it possible to restore strength, recover from everyday work and recharge with energy before returning.
