Celebrations in Seville, Spain

During Holy Week
Samantha Santa (Holy Week) and Seville's Day of Anointing, also known as Feria de Abril (April Anointing), are the most popular holidays in Seville. Seville is famous for its festivals and the two-week fairs that follow Holy Week. During the fair, families set up tents and spend the week dancing, having fun and drinking. Traditionally, women wear flamenco dresses and men wear their best suits. The bullfight takes place in the Los Remedios area, where each street is named after a famous bullfighter.
