Batumi is one of the best resorts on the Black Sea. In Soviet times, families came here. Since then, almost nothing has changed. Batumi is an industrial city and an old commercial port. There are excellent entertainment opportunities here, with a local favorite being the dolphinarium, next to which is the botanical garden. The flight from Tbilisi to Batumi takes about an hour.
