Kobulet (Georgian: Kobuleti), a resort town in southwestern Georgia, in the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, 21 km north of Batumi. Located on the Black Sea coast, the climate is subtropical. The city is the administrative center of the Kobuleti municipality. The city’s railway station also bears the same name “Kobulet”. Population: 17,435 people.
In Soviet times, Kobulet was one of the best resorts on the Black Sea, with many holiday homes and sanatoriums located here, especially those belonging to the Ministry of Defense. Now the city’s infrastructure has remained at the same level, but the number of vacationers has decreased significantly.
