Tourism in Bulgaria

Tourism in Bulgaria accounts for a significant portion of the country's gross domestic product. Most tourists visit the resort either in summer or winter, depending on the weather. The prospects for tourism development in Bulgaria are reliable, the country has cultural and natural attractions. In 2015, the Daily Mail newspaper named Bulgarian resorts the cheapest resorts in Europe. At the main Bulgarian resorts, ordering a food basket is cheaper than at similar resorts in Italy, Spain and Turkey. In addition, only two months in Bulgaria – October and November – are non-tourist months. Black Sea March is already the beginning of spring with constant flowering trees, and in June Bulgarians swim with might and main in the Black Sea until September. The ski season starts in December and lasts until February.
