The world's deepest diving pool, 60 meters deep, has opened in Dubai. It is believed to be part of the new Deep Dive Dubai attraction, CNN reports.
The Guinness Book of Records recognizes it as the deepest diving pool in the world.
The previous record was reportedly held by the Polish Deepspot pool, which was 45 meters deep.
Deep Dive Dubai is known to contain 14 million liters of fresh water, which is comparable to the volume of six Olympic-sized swimming pools.
Its water temperature is +30 degrees, which is “suitable for a thin wetsuit or swimsuit.”
To ensure the safety of divers, approximately 56 cameras are installed throughout the pool.
The facility is currently open by invitation only and will open to the public at the end of the year. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, was one of the first visitors to the pool.
