Hassan II Mosque (2nd), Morocco

The Hassan II Mosque is a stunning mosque in Casablanca, Morocco. It is the largest operating mosque in Africa and the seventh largest in the world. Its minaret is the second tallest in the world, standing at 210 meters (689 ft). Located in Marrakech, Michel Pinso's stunning masterpiece was completed in 1993 and is a wonderful testament to the talent of Moroccan artisans. The minaret is 60 stories high with a laser beam at the top pointing towards Mecca. A maximum of 105,000 worshipers can gather for prayer in the mosque hall or on its grounds.
