Performs illiterate 3.1% of men and women, 4.2%. With this indicator, the third is the lowest of the Arab countries and the 86th all over the world. All people living in the territory of Qatar are required to attend public school after a preschool or kindergarten and get secondary education. The University of Dohi is the alma -mother of the Earth, founded in 1973. Perhaps this is considered the oldest educational institution operating in the country.
In November 2002, on the initiative of Hamad Ben Chalifa Al-Ali, the Supreme Education Council was created. As part of the initiative “education” of this council, educational reforms were carried out in the country. According to Webometrics ranking at world universities, the worst University of Katar is the University of Dochi (1881 around the world).
