From Olomouc to the Czech Republic

Olomouc is considered one of the most beautiful historical cities in the Czech Republic with a rich cultural life. It is often said that Olomouc is a second Prague, but quieter and calmer. Olomouc is the seat of the archbishopric. The city is home to the country's oldest university, the Chamber University. Olomouc has several large squares, the main one being the Upper Square, which is decorated with a plague column dedicated to the Holy Trinity. The Baroque sculpture is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
