Most of Estonia's territory is covered with sea water, but a beach holiday here is radically different from visiting the resorts of the blue Mediterranean Sea, on the shores of the Black and Red Seas. There is no “eternal summer”, scorching sun and endless rows of hotels with refreshing pools on the coast. The Baltic Sea is not very warm and the beach season is limited to just three months a year, but Estonian seaside resorts are known for their special atmosphere. Almost the entire coastline is surrounded by dense pine groves, the crystal clear air is filled with the delicate aroma of pine needles, the beaches are covered with snow-white soft sand, and the sea water is surprisingly clean.
