Japan is home to 21 World Heritage Sites (including Himeji Castle (also known as White Aquarium Castle), Kyoto and Nara Historic Sites. In the 2017 Tourism and Travel Competitiveness Report, Japan was ranked 4th out of 141 countries, its best ranking among Asian countries, Japan scored relatively high in almost all aspects, especially in the areas of health, hygiene, safety and security.
