The best time to visit Zanzibar is during the dry season, which runs from June to October, when the average temperature is 77°C.
Its appeal is easy to see, with white coral sand beaches, turquoise waters and a laid-back island atmosphere, plenty of sunshine and consistently pleasant temperatures.

The Zanzibar archipelago consists of more than 50 islands, from small outcrops to the larger, more populous Zanzibar Islands, more properly called Unguja and Pemba. The beaches are often stunning, with white powder sand shaded by palm trees. The sea is shallow, but step out into the sparkling turquoise water and you’ll find coral reefs for excellent snorkeling and diving. The larger islands are lush and very fertile, and everywhere the air is scented with the scent of fruits and spices; it’s an intoxicating, exotic atmosphere.
