Sochi is a great place to relax not only in the summer. It is one of the few places in Russia where it is warm in December. The climate here is subtropical, so even in winter the weather is warm and pleasant. Daytime temperatures in December fluctuate around 10°C, but rain is possible, so take an umbrella with you.
There are noticeably fewer tourists here in winter. Most of it goes into the mountains, so you can calmly and quietly stroll along the embankment. Another place for a comfortable walk among the palm trees is the Sochi Arboretum. In addition, in Sochi you can see the 2014 Olympic sites and take a boat ride on the Black Sea.
