Bali is located in the southeastern part of Asia. Its geographical coordinates: 8° S. and 115° E. It belongs to the state of Indonesia and is part of the huge archipelago of the same name. The island of Bali is part of the small Sunda Island, which is located in its westernmost part. From the south, its shores reach the waters of the Indian Ocean, and from the north it flows into the Bali Sea, which is part of the Pacific Ocean. Adjacent to the western tip is the large island of Java, separated by the Strait of Bali.
Proximity to the equator dictates the climate. From June to September there is a dry season with little rainfall, although humidity remains very high. Most of the moisture falls from the sky during the calendar winter and March, when the rainy season occurs here. At the same time, eternal summer reigns in Bali, and the air temperature in the flat area never drops below +25°.
There is a fairly high population density here. More than 4 million people live in Bali, whose area exceeds 5.7 thousand km². The northern and central parts of the island are occupied by mountains, the maximum height of which exceeds 3000 meters, and the south is dominated by plains. Main peaks:
